About  Gibson FC

Welcome to the upgraded Gibson Football Club website, featuring a simple and easy to navigate design, where you can find club news, sections for both seniors and juniors, heaps of photos, events calendars and much more.

 

With a strong supporter and sponsor base, a healthy seniors division and juniors coming up through the ranks, Gibson is committed to the future of country football.  Gibson's golden era was between 1979 and 1992 when Gibson won ten out of 14 flags.  This year Gibson will go into the season aiming to win another flag.  

 

Football History & Stars in the Making

Club history was made on 25 May 1986, when Gibson defeated Munglinup by 65 goals (Tigers 60.45-405 to Bombers 2.3-15).  The final quarter went on for so long that the lights were turned on, the first time that Esperance experienced night football!  Gibson has laid the groundwork for some talented footballers that played in the WAFL and AFL.  Including Murray Rance, Don Langsford, Brian Kerr, Murray Scheer, Phil Montgomerie, Scott Meadows and most recently Quinten Lynch. Keep an eye on our juniors as you never know who will end up playing professionally in years to come!

Dipper is coming to Gibson!

Whether you are a player or supporter, everyone is welcome to come along and hear Robert "Dipper" DiPierdomenico give a talk after training and a BBQ tea.  He will take a juniors and seniors training.
